ACASI Machinery

I will update this review as this company fixes the issues we have encountered which are still not taken care of (you will see these issues at the end of this review). The following has, I am sorry to say, been the "normal experience" for us with Acasi over the past year: - Them being late consistently, taking far, far longer to do almost anything they told us they would do - Them making it our responsibility to make sure they did what they told us they would do. We literally schedule follow-up emails and phone calls because we know if we don't, they will not follow through - Them passing the blame when something went wrong onto someone else (often, incredibly oddly, onto us, though it has almost never been anything we had any hand in) - Them failing to respond to emails or phone calls, sometimes ignoring our attempts to contact them completely, and almost always ignoring half of the content of any email we send (they have told us point-blank, a few times, they do and will not read more than the first line or two of our emails) - Their equipment not being what they told us it was, or not doing what they told us it would do, when it was too late to change course Due to these things, and several others, they have consistently caused our business to be less efficient and late in production, missing deadlines throughout the year and causing us to lose money, time, and energy. Their response to all of this, straight from customer support, was: "I'm sorry, we just don't have time to read through every email we receive, or respond to everything. We have so many clients, we just can't deal with them all, and we cannot read all of every email." (I am transcribing it as close to word-for-word as I can recall) To be clear, so that those reading this know we are not merely one of "those" reviewers, we were told by their main tech that we were one of the most disciplined, knowledgeable, and "together" clients he had ever worked with regarding our purchase from them. When issues happened, he told us it was "definitely not your fault, you did everything you could have done... I've spent hours on this and I cannot even find out why it isn't working." In summary: Those who work at Acasi are very nice people overall, but the sad truth is we cannot recommend this company until they make some serious changes to both the way they represent their products and, probably more importantly (though it's a toss-up), the way they take care of their customers. We would never treat one of our customers the way they have treated us, and our customers spend a fraction of what we will have spent with this company by year's end. It truly is sad, because we had planned to spend a lot more with them in the future, but we would be fools to do so. So much time, energy, and money lost. Acasi was, overall, a very poor business decision. Here are a few things we are currently waiting on, and which I have contacted them MANY times about, which I will update as they take care of it: - An unscrambling table which arrived warped, which was very expensive, but they completely ignore any contacts about. I have sent video proof. It loses us money due to it causing bottles to fall over every time we use it. - Almost one-month-late add-on pistons, which though promised point-blank would ship yesterday, have still not shipped. - A severely warped piston which was sent to replace another warped piston they initially sent us. They have still not replaced it, though we contacted them about it well over a month ago. - Tanks which arrived scratched, and then rusted, due to how they shipped them to us. Rust DESTROYS our products. They knew what our products were, and did not tell us this issue, nor did they package them to not scratch, nor have they replaced the tanks (or responded to emails about the tanks). - I have contacted my initial contact at the company many times. He "doesn't have time to read my emails." Their words, not mine. The machine seems like a good machine, but the company is the worst I have ever dealt with. Be warned. ---------------------------------- UPDATE AS OF 12/14/17 – Acasi has attempted to remedy some of the issues they created with our order. I will continue to update this review as things progress. First, Acasi’s machinery seems to work well and do what it was intended to do, but I say this after 9 months of issues which have lost our company a lot of money. Acasi’s employees are knowledgeable, kind, and really do seem to want to help, but to quote them (this is what they told me after our emails and calls had been ineffective for months): “I'm sorry, we just don't have time to read through every email we receive, or respond to everything. We have so many clients, we just can't deal with them all, and we cannot read all of every email.” This lack of support staff has many consequences, only a few of which I have outlined below: - Should something go wrong, and a LOT went wrong with our orders, they simply cannot deal with it in an efficient way, let alone in a timely manner. For instance, we still schedule follow-up emails and phone calls on open issues because if we don’t, we will not hear from them about current issues which are actively hurting our business. - There seems to be virtually no communication between the back office (the machine department) and the front office (the sales/support department). This means it can take weeks to get something resolved which could be resolved with one, simple conversation. - If something goes wrong, they assume it is your fault. Period. If you can prove it is not your fault (and only if you can prove it), no one will take responsibility for making sure your issue is remedied (I have never seen a company “pass the buck” like this company does). This has happened so many times it is now expected by us. - Due to all of the above, and I think especially because of the lack of communication between departments, they are constantly late on promised shipments, fixes, or etc., and they often need reminding or something they promised simply won’t be done at all. - Finally, and I have to mention it, the owner of the company was my first contact and the reason I got set up with this company in the first place. When his company started to really hurt our company due to some issues we had with their machinery, he refused to respond or even acknowledge any attempts to contact him. I was literally told he did not have time for us, even though his company was causing us to bleed financially. I am still awaiting any communication, apology, or acceptance of responsibility. To be clear, so that those reading this know we are not merely one of "those" reviewers, we were told by their main tech that we were one of the most disciplined, knowledgeable, and "together" clients he has ever worked with regarding our purchase from them. When issues happened, he told us it was "definitely not your fault, you did everything you could have done... I've spent hours on this and I cannot even find out why it isn't working." Here are a list of current issues which still need resolving: - An unscrambling table which arrived warped is currently having a replacement built, at their cost, to ship to us. We will ship the other one back to them when the new one arrives. They have known about this for months, and are finally fixing it. - We had issues with pistons which they have mostly resolved. Thank you. - They told me they would be sending me “easy-attach” parts to replace initial parts which did not work roughly 3 months ago, and though I have contacted them about them since (twice) they have not responded to my inquiries. - A severely warped piston which arrived initially has now been replaced. Thank you. - They have now worked out with me a scratched tank issue where the tanks would rust. I have contacted them about a compromise (they promise they won’t rust, we’ll keep them), but have not heard back. In summary, the machinery seems very good... but we dread something else going wrong, for the aforementioned reasons.
