Reducing your energy bill and water bill is as simple as reducing energy and water use.

For water, the worst offender is your dishwasher. You can invest in a high efficiency dishwasher, of course, but if you're not interested in replacing your existing dishwasher, considering installing a low-flow pre-rinse spray valve. You should already be pre-washing your dishes to minimize repeat wash cycles and to ensure proper cleanliness. Assuming you're pre-washing, the installation of a low-flow spray valve, as opposed to a high-flow spray valve, will help save a great deal of water (and therefore, a great deal of money) every month.

For energy savings, you can make big, sweeping changes such as replacing older appliances (and replacing them with more energy efficient units), or you can make smaller changes that add up.

Some smaller energy saving tips to consider:
        - Train employees to ensure that refrigerator and freezer doors are always closed when not in use, and to turn off other equipment when not in use.
        - Keep hot appliances with other hot appliances (and cold appliances with other cold appliances). Grouping cold and hot appliances together may increase energy use.
        - Purchase energy efficient light strips/bulbs.
        - Clean your kitchen equipment more frequently and more thoroughly. Equipment that is free of dust, dirt, and grease operates more efficiently.

Good luck!
