Budget is limited, want to incorporate coffee drinks onto my menu. Is it worth installing a separate espresso machine?

I generally agree with the Kinnek Knowledge Team's answer, except for the hybrid espresso/drip coffee machine. Not only are the commercial versions expensive, but generally inefficient for high-volume demand. It really comes down to knowing the demand for what type of drinks in your cafe, and basing your equipment purchases around that. As you indicated, incorporating espresso drinks onto your menu will require specialized espresso-making equipment, so depending on how limited your budget is, you may not want to do so.  On the other hand, if you don't already have a coffee machine, it's worth considering a hybrid espresso/drip coffee machine so that you don't have to purchase two separate pieces of equipment.  Further, if you expect that there will be a high volume of coffee drinks being served during busy periods, an espresso machine can be useful for efficiency-purposes as espresso brews much faster than coffee.
