Spiral Mixers are the best choice for mixing pizza dough. The spiral mixer gently
mixes the dough without heat buildup. There are many sizes available from 25 lb. (flour capacity).

While you don't NEED a special mixer for pizza dough, there ARE certain manufacturers and models that are better equipped for these type of things. We sell to hundreds, if not thousands, of pizzerias a year, and we find that they prefer the Hobart P660 or Hobart Legacy 60 quart Pizza Dough mixers, both of which we have in stock. There ARE specialized pizza mixers on the market, but you do not need a specialized mixer for pizza dough.  A well-made commercial spiral mixer will be able to handle a large variety of dough needs, whether for bakeries or pizzerias.
