Does pre-milled grain keep a lot worse than unmilled grain?

Though most brewers accept that pre-milled grain doesn't keep as long as unmilled grain, the difference is not that significant.  The greater surface area of pre-milled grain means it will be oxidized quicker, but many commercial breweries store and keep sacks of pre-milled grain for extended lengths of time.  Flavor concerns can be somewhat alleviated if you make sure to keep the pre-milled grain sealed and stored with minimal oxygen exposure.
