Hey there,

Scaling is definitely a problem that you'll want to avoid. There are several things you can do to help prevent scaling, but here are two good ones:
     - Inspect and replace your water filters regularly. Water that hasn't been properly filtered not only allows for scaling accumulation (mineral deposits and other water compounds), but can also cause your steamed food to have a strange taste. Make sure to set up a regular schedule for employees to inspect the filter on your steamer and replace as necessary. Consult the manual (or contact your supplier or steamer manufacturer) for details on what to look out for.
     - Drain the boiler or reservoir daily. Leaving free-floating water in the steamer can encourage scaling, so do drain the boiler or reservoir at the end of each workday to ensure that there is no accumulation.

Good luck!
