I'm developing a milk liqueur and I need to decide between HTST and vat pasteurization. What effect would the lower temperature of vat pasteurization have on the shelf life of my product?

You will get more shelf life from an HTST system versus batch pasteurizer. The benefit to the batch pasteurizer is the upfront cost which is 1/3 the cost of an HTST.
