Is there a shelf-life for corks? Once I purchase corks, do I need to use them for bottling within a certain period of time?

We at Amorim Cork America recommend you use the corks we ship you within 6 months of receiving them. If you have corks older than this, the moisture content may be too low for good bottling. We recommend you ship the corks back to us for reprocessing if you have had them more than 6 months.

The shelf life in an unopened and sealed poly bag is conservatively 6 months. If the bag is opened you should use the wine corks with a couple of weeks.
