A lot of people will give you advice. I've got 47 years of tech experience
No situation is the same please call a licensed and reputable tech however if the ref is 5-6 years old it probably has lost some of its ability to work well and is not at the level of energy efficiency of the new units today

Two common problems come to mind: 1) the door might be improperly sealed, and 2) there might be some blocked vents. Of course, other mechanical issues may be to blame, but you can test for these two common problems quite easily.

To check that your door is properly sealed, put a piece of paper into the door and close it. If the paper falls easily, then the door isn't sealing properly. You can fix this by replacing the door gasket.

Checking for blocked vents is even easier. Just run a quick visual test and clear the area. If the vents are still posing problems, then conduct a "hand-wave test" to ensure that airflow is sufficient. If it is insufficient, you may have a mechanical problem that needs repair.
