GMPs refer to the FDA’s established current good manufacturing practices, laid out to ensure food and drug safety. Specifics on GMPs for food production are found in 21 CFR 110. The FDA has established a final rule for GMPs in dietary supplement production to ensure supplements are produced in a quality manner, do not contain contaminants or impurities, and are accurately labeled.
