Coming from brewers who have had both manual and semi-automatic washer(s), we'd definitely recommend investing in the semi-auto version, if possible. While our 4-head manual washer is certainly a reliable piece of machinery, it requires a huge time investment, as well as a well-trained, attentive individual to run it. The semi-auto washer, on the other hand, can be operated by any ol' average Joe. So, considering it's the last thing to happen to the beer before it hits the customer's lips, wouldn't you want to guarantee that it's done properly?
