If you're going to be capping relatively small quantities of beer bottles, we recommend that you use a manual capper (unless your budget and plans allow for semi-automatic or automatic, of course). To properly manually cap your beer bottles, first, sanitize your bottle caps, then put the cap on the beer bottle and cover it with the capper. Afterwards, hit the capper with a hammer to seal the bottle. It should grip the bottle once you've done it right.
