What sort of wifi/loitering strategies should I consider for my cafe?

Wifi internet access has become so ubiquitous in the cafe scene as to be standard now.  Unless you have a particular thematic reason for not providing wifi to your customers, you should absolutely provide it.  Wifi draws in customers and encourages them to spend.  The problem with wifi is that it can also encourage those same customers to stay too long.  If you have an issue with overcrowding due to customers staying for too long, you can implement a time limit on wifi access (or charge a fee for wifi access after initial free access).
