304 stainless steel is a nonmagnetic, food-safe material that is easy to clean and sanitize, very resistant to corrosion, and cheaper than other types of 300 series stainless steel. For these reasons, it is preferred over metals like aluminum, which is less durable, and other forms of stainless steel, which are often more expensive and may be unsafe for the storage of food and beverage items.

We're curious though, does anyone out there prefer to use other 300 series stainless steel components for certain reasons?
