Kinnek is an online marketplace that empowers small businesses to purchase painlessly by finding the right products, suppliers, and quotes all in one place.  We are a secure and trusted tool, a purchasing and relationship management platform, a critical information source, and a community. We’re passionate about using technology to make small business owners' lives easier.

Our goal is to help you manage all of your purchasing needs in one central place through our request process. You can create a request on Kinnek by filling out our form with the specs of the equipment and supplies you’re looking for. Once you fill out the form, we’ll send this request to our expansive network of suppliers who prepare custom quotes specifically for you. You’ll receive an email as soon as your quotes arrive. From your Kinnek homepage, you can manage all of your requests, compare quotes, and message with suppliers.

Kinnek is also a platform to manage all of your existing supplier relationships. If you click the “More” tab in the upper right and go to “My Orders,” you can “Create a New Order” by searching for your supplier or product. Don’t see your supplier? We can set you up with all of your current invoices if you send us an email to orders-support@kinnek.com.

Making a new request is simple. From the Kinnek homepage, you click on the orange “New Request” button at the top right corner of the page, or by clicking on any blue “Get Quotes” button on the site.  Once you start a request, we’ll ask you a series of questions about the product you need.  Once you complete the form, we’ll send your request to the suppliers that will be most helpful.  Those suppliers will prepare a custom quote for you based on your answers.  If you have questions or want to change your quote, you can send messages to the suppliers directly through Kinnek so that your correspondence never gets lost. Quotes for each of your requests will be organized on your homepage so that you can easily compare and access them from anywhere.

Depending on the complexity of your request, you may receive quotes instantly or in a few days.

Our team reviews any requests that might be missing information. They’ll follow up with you to help improve your request so that it reaches the most relevant suppliers.

Yes! Kinnek is free for all businesses to use and get quotes. Even though we specialize in small/medium sized business, we are free for all businesses who use our products for purchasing. Our suppliers pay a flat monthly subscription fee to be on the platform and for access to optional premium features and tools.

Kinnek doesn’t ship any items directly. All of the suppliers on our site use shipping services that they work with. Be sure to check with each supplier about their shipping policies when negotiating your quotes. However, if you do purchase through Kinnek, you may be eligible for our Purchase Protection Guarantee. Kinnek is not a manufacturer and we do not have an inventory. We are an online platform that uses technology to help you discover new suppliers and get you quotes from suppliers that you want to work with. Our goal is to make the quoting process more efficient so that you can spend more time running your business.

The majority of our suppliers today are located in the United States.  We also have a select few suppliers from various overseas locations, including Germany and China. When you get your quotes, we'll tell you exactly where each supplier is based so you can compare shipping and make any geographic considerations necessary for your purchase.

No, there is absolutely no obligation to purchase. Kinnek is for small businesses who are planning to make a purchase, but we’ll never lock you into any deal simply by receiving quotes or sending messages to suppliers. However, we do ask that you are respectful of suppliers’ time and effort in the quoting process.

Kinnek is a platform geared towards small businesses’ purchasing, but we understand that some orders are just smaller. If your request doesn’t meet a minimum for any supplier, we may follow up with you to see if there is a larger quantity that will get you quotes - and maybe even save you money!

Kinnek has a built-in messaging system right on the site. When looking at a quote from a supplier, you can review the details and message the supplier directly from the right side of the page to negotiate or ask the supplier any questions.  

Suppliers often put photos and descriptions of their products on their profiles on Kinnek.  However, since suppliers’ inventories can often change, the best way to get a complete and updated list is to ask your supplier for a catalogue after you request quotes.  

Once you have decided on the quote that’s right for you, you can make your purchase by clicking the “Purchase Now” button. Kinnek supports transactions made through all major credit cards, wire transfers, and ACH.  Read more about payments on Kinnek here.

The primary policy for any refunds or exchanges on items depends on your supplier. If you decide to purchase through the Kinnek platform and are unable to resolve an issue with a supplier, we can protect you with the Kinnek Purchase Guarantee. Yes, it’s possible to have a dual-account on Kinnek and to be both a small business buyer and supplier.  If you’re interested, please send an email to questions@kinnek.com with your Kinnek username and we will enable a new account.

Any changes to your Kinnek account can be made by clicking the gear icon in the upper right hand corner. To reset your password, simply click on the password tab.
